Of course, that’s not the only reason. Back in July last year, BSkyB had granted Microsoft some time to continue using the SkyDrive branding before shifting to something different.That came after BSkyB won the trademark case against Microsoft claiming SkyDrive infringed upon the Sky brand in European Union and the UK.
The transition to the new branding should affect any services for the end users and they’ll continue to perform as they should. Microsoft hasn’t given a timeline for the complete change, but we should see the changes appearing in the coming days.
