Announces : Sony Xperia M confirmed to get Android 4.3

Sony Xperia M users should rejoice for their phone won’t by abandoned by Sony just yet. The company would be rolling out the Android 4.3 update for the phone very soon.

The ROM has already been approved on France’s SFR carrier, while it is being tested on Australia’s Vodafone. Although there’s no fixed timeline, the update should hit the Xperia M worldwide in the next couple of weeks.
Here’s the official changelog from SFR’s website, translated in English of course.

• Upgrade to Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean)
• Faster interface
• Updating multimedia applications WALKMAN, Album and Film
• Integration of new custom themes
• Update bookmarks in Chrome browser

While Xperia M2, which is the successor to the Xperia M is certain to get updated to Android 4.4, the fate of Xperia M isn’t known at the moment. Although, we wouldn’t get our hopes up just yet.
