Sony's new wearable display, the lovingly named HMZ-T3W, is now available for pre-order.
The device, which is worn on your head, gives you the illusion of sitting 65 feet away from a 750-inch screen. It supports 2D or 3D, using dual HD OLED screens to display the image right in front of your eyes.
Unlike its predecessor, the HMZ-T1, the HMZ-T3W is portable and battery operated, making it much more useful for travelers.
It's also lighter and more comfortable, with a cushioned head pad that might give you a couple of weird looks (who cares about those when you can't see them), and it can connect to a smartphone or a tablet via a micro-HDMI port.
Finally, the headmount comes with earbuds that provide a virtual 7.1 sound experience.
All this goodness is available for pre-order in the U.S. for $999, with the shipments starting next month.
