The story behind the concept creation is also very interesting. One fine day, Viktor Hertz was working on Adobe Illustrator and he was waiting for a large file to load. While he waited for the file to download, it took an eternity and getting baked by the “Work in Progress” bar, he decided to toy with it in such manner that it becomes interesting for the users even when they wait.

When he was interviewed by “Mashable”, he stated that the renovation of “Work in Progress” bar came as a result of his frustration and that he wanted just to have fun while waiting for the files to download. The special feature of such bars is that they are very interactive and keeps the user involved until the download of file.
