A lot has been happening in the Windows Phone camp lately and we’re seeing a lot of positive changes. You can add one more to that list, since Microsoft has announced that the platform would soon be getting the Facebook Messenger app. The announcement was made by Microsoft VP Joe Belfiore and while he hasn’t given a date on the launch, he’s said that the work is in progress.
Until now, Windows Phone users have had to pin a shortcut to the Messages section of the Facebook app to Start Screen as a work around, which although intuitive, wasn’t the best solution. With this, Microsoft has managed to bring another high profile app to the platform.
Windows Phone seems to be becoming more appealing platform by each passing day and once Windows Phone 8.1 update is released, we see no reason why the WP handsets won’t be able to hold their own against their Android counterparts.
