Companies these days don’t hesitate to borrow their competitors innovative ideas and HP was no different when it announced the Pavilion x360 notebook. The 11 inch notebook has a striking similarity to the Lenovo Yoga, but we guess that’s kinda okay. Although, HP might have crossed the limits when it decided to use the same names for the four modes in which you can position the convertible (two of them called the tent mode and stand mode).
The device comes with a 11 inch display that can be completely rotated back thanks to a 360 degree hinge. In the tablet mode, the keyboard automatically gets disabled, allowing you to enjoy a true tablet experience (albeit a heavy one). The price of Pavilion x360 starts at $400, although it tones down some of the specs to keep the price low. The base model features a 1,366 x 768 display and packs a 500GB hard disk (no SSD). The power house of the convertible is an Intel Pentium Bay Trail processor. However, users will still get to enjoy Dolby Audio and wider viewing angles thanks to IPS display. HP has also thrown in three USB ports and a full size HDMI port. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, it runs on Windows 8.1.
Pavilion x360 starts shipping February 26th in red, with a silver variant to come later.
