After Cortana on Windows Phone 8.1, it seems like Canadian manufacturer BlackBerry will also be bringing a voice assistant to its not-so-popular BB10 OS. The feature has been leaked along with screenshots of the next update on the OS called BB OS 10.3. The bucket full of screen shots show several changes that are inbound to the OS.

BlackBerry seems to be going for minimalist style with the coming update. The icon shadows on the home screen are gone and the theme puts an emphasis on red and blue shades. The music player’s play button has been given more space and the keyboard has been given a new layout along with a new color scheme. The camera interface seems to have been updated as well, with the new timer and panorama modes. There’s also a new HDR suggestion mode which activates when the conditions are apt.

However, the biggest change was the presence of what seems like a new voice assistant. Although at this point, there’s not much else that is known.
There’s no timeline on when the update would hit the devices. Do our readers think the update will be enough to save the sinking ship that is BlackBerry, or should it have done more?
