The phone comes with dual SIM slots, but is otherwise identical to the regular Galaxy S5. Carrying model number G9009D, the phone has launched on China Telecom for CNY5,299 ($850) and will begin shipping on April 11th.
Th phone will be packing a 5.1 inch 1080p display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 801. It will also sport 2GB RAM, 16 gigs of internal storage, 2,800mAh battery and run on Android 4.4.2. The battery life could come down a little compared to the single SIM version due to the extra radio on the phone. There’ll be no LTE on the phone, but one of the SIM will support CDMA 2000, while the other one will support GSM. Oh, and the phone is IP67 certified and comes with a fingerprint scanner as well. The only other difference from the regular version is that of extra 1.5 grams.
It’s not known at the moment if Samsung would release the phone in other countries, or even on other carriers in China.
