Nokia MD-12 Bluetooth Speaker with NFC Announced

The Nokia MD-12 Wireless Speaker has been announced, bringing Bluetooth wireless streaming to your Nokia Lumia smartphone.

This compact and small speaker is set to be available in a range of colours to match the new Nokia Lumia 930 and Nokia Lumia 630 smartphones.
The Nokia MD-12 is a new accessory for Lumia smartphones with NFC and Bluetooth. It can pair with your smartphones and allows you to play music. With a built-in vibrating actuator located on the base, low frequencies are created when placed on most surfaces, especially hard ones, delivering a surprising amount of bass for such a compact speaker- in fact, it’s rather fun experimenting with different surfaces.

Pairing your phone with the MD-12 is simple; just tap your NFC-enabled device on the speaker to instantly pair. Alternatively, connect via Bluetooth. With the new Nokia Device Hub app, you can easily manage your speaker and other connected accessories easily. The speaker offers 15 hours of playback which should be good enough for small parties or on the move.

If your phone does not have these wireless options, you can still connect with the 3.5mm jack available on the speaker. Costing just €39 (approximately Rs 3300), and continuing Nokia’s bright new colour language for 2014, the MD-12 comes in the same distinctive colours of yellow, green, orange and white.
