It was a big surprise that instead of releasing the log awaited Android 5, Google decided to release the Android 4.4 also known as KitKat. Due to this Nestle decided to run a contest with the help of Google that either you can win credits for Google Play or Nexus 7 for purchasing Nestle Kit Kat bars.

The difference between the Kit Kat bar and the Android KitKat is the space between the name Kit and Kat.

It still will take some time for the official release of the Android KitKat as Google has released the Android 4.3 on Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 and on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but it still needs to be released on a lot of other devices such as HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.

Android 4.4 KitKat - Google is Going to Introduce New Android Version

So until its final release all we can do is waiting for it. But the main question that comes in everyone’s mind is when is that officially going to happen? We can expect it to either come out late October or by early November of this year. But according to many sources there is a high chance that it can be released in October.

And what is so unique about the upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat?

To answer this question we firstly need to look at the successor of Android KitKat, i.e. Android 4.3. The Android 4.3 did come with a few upgrades such as the support of the Bluetooth smart technology, better multi user customization and an upgraded keyboard, but sadly it didn’t get codename of its own as the Android 4.4 will get the code name of KitKat. Thus the Android 4.3 has to use the same name which was given to Android 4.1 and Android 4.2 “Jelly Bean”.

So what upgrade will you get with the upcoming Android 4.4 except for a new codename? To this question at the moment Google is saying “it’s our goal with the Android KitKat to make an amazing Android experience available for everyone”.

With the given statement made by Google we can clearly know that Google is planning use the Android KitKat for all kinds of sets even those handsets which are less powerful.
