Lenovo is usually associated with computers and tablets, well, in the UK anyway. However they are branching out into new fields as they will be launching two new smartphones: the Vibe X and the Vibe Z.  The Vibe X will be available for general release on October 20th in China and the Vibe Z will be released sometime in the near future.

The Vibe X was recently announced in early September and it is rumoured to come with a 5 inch 1080p display at only 6.9 mm thin, which is one of the thinnest smartphones of that size. The 1080p screen is made out of toughened Gorilla Glass 3 so the inevitable scratches should not therefore, be a problem. The Vibe X also come packing an impressive quad-core processor, being clocked at 1.5GHz which is not exactly groundbreaking but when this is backed up by 2GB RAM, it makes for a tidy piece of kit. As far as information suggests the Vibe X will come with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera and 16GB of internal storage to hold all of your data, photos, music and videos. The Vibe Z is bringing to the table a slightly larger 5.5 inch screen with 2GB RAM and a super quick Snapdragon 800 processor. However, the battery size hasn’t been detailed yet.  Currently, no pricing information is available for the Vibe Z but I imagine that it will be very similar to that of the Vibe X.  As regards the operating system, Lenovo has announced it plans to update the devices to Android 4.4 KitKat in the future.
