After a short period of downtime, the Apple Store is back and it brought the gadget we were promised for November: the Retina iPad mini.
There are no surprises as far as pricing goes: The Retina iPad mini starts at $399, and for that you get 16GB of storage and Wi-Fi connectivity. You can beef it up to 128GB of storage and add 3G connectivity, which will set you back $829. Other storage options are 32GB and 64GB, and the two available colors are white and space gray.

With the addition of the 2048x1536 Retina screen, the iPad mini is now — more so than the previous generation — essentially a slimmed-down iPad Air. It comes with the same storage options, and it also has the 64-bit A7 processor as well as the M7 motion-tracking coprocessor.
