The web developers of the company have been making some extra
efforts in order to re-create the Hide All option available within the
social media site. The official announcement has finally arrived from
the company about the editing of the “Hide All” option. The users of the
social media will now be able to filter their news feeds by using the
new tweak. The company has made an official statement about the
introduction of a button that will allow the user to “Unfollow” the other people.
The features of this option
are very identical to that of “Hide All” option. The users did the same
function before using the “Hide All” button and now it has been replaced
with the “Unfollow” button. For the people who never made use of “Hide
All” button, it is a button that is used by the facebook users in order
to remain friends with people but at the same time, hide all their news
feeds to appear in the feed column. There are times when your friends
post something that is unusual or unappealing. In such cases, the user
can simply use the “Hide All” button and the purpose is solved. This
Hide All button has now been taken over by the “Unfollow” option.

Only the word for the option
has been changed, the rest of the working has remained to be the same.
The competition is soaring high for facebook since platforms like
twitter and Instagram are gaining great high. In these platforms, the
users are well aware of the “unfollowing” concept. This concept has
originated from the websites like Twitter and Instagram but it has been
taken over by facebook and people are expecting it to be a big thing in
the nearest future.
In order to know whether you are
following someone, there is an option where it shows if you follow
people or not. This is available next to the like button. This shows up
on the individual user profiles and even on the company pages. When you
follow someone, their feeds and posts automatically appear on your wall,
no matter you want to see them or not. Even the people who are not
friends with other users and they follow, feeds appear to their news
column. The features of “Unfollow” button would remain the same as “Hide All”
but only the name will be changed. The basic purpose behind this
decision by facebook is that the people must see something they care
about and not something that does not interest them. Facebook is also
stepping into the shoes of Twitter and Instagram by doing the same. It
was a common complaint by the Facebook users that they were following
something that did not interest them and needed a solution which has
been offered by the company in form of “Unfollow” button.
