The only downside is that it has not been properly tested yet. The developer of Cydia, Jay Freeman has stated on Hacker News that he was never asked to test the jailbreak version. He was not even given any builds or asked to make an official iOS 7 Cydia. This is a heart-breaking announcement by the developer of Cydia. For the people who do not know, Cydia is the leader app store for the jailbreak apps.
This jailbreak has been released in a hastily manner. The developers might be aiming on giving it as a Christmas gift to the fans. There were reports in the last few weeks about its release but nothing had been confirmed so far. There are rumors that someone who was linked to evad3rs group stole and sold it to a private company. However, no official statement has come out from the company. If it is true or not, we do not know but the fact that evad3rs did not give an opportunity to Cydia to test these jailbreak apps can cause a stir in the market.  Cydia provides a service where third party developers can have their jailbreak tested. This is an important component of the jailbreak ecosystem. Freeman also wrote that evad3rs did not give him the testing build of substrate that he had given to the core developers. Therefore, he did not notice any incompatibility. This has created a whole lot of confusion in the market.

Apart from Freeman, there are others who write on the same problem, Petteri Pyyny interviewed about the same on AfterDawn Blog. He wrote that process shall be accomplished by someone who knows what he is doing. He refers to jailbreaking by that statement. He added further than if the jailbreak goes wrong in any manner, it can cause a lateral damage to the device and it makes a person lose warranty as well.
The commentators are speculating on the question what people are doing with their jailbroken iOS devices. There are other commentators who have talked on things like being capable of choosing default apps. It involves the usage of apps that are unavailable for iOS namely f.lux, etc. They shall also be able to tether the phones to computer without costing them a single penny. By doing so, they will be able to use apps like Bitcoin on their phones.
Public knowledge can be supported from the Jailbreak fans by contributing to evad3rs Paypal account. The Jailbreak fans might be interested in contributing to Surik too. An ample of codes that are meant for making jailbreak phones work are maintained by the company of Freeman, Cydia.
Apple must be wondering about the recent advancements in the market and it must be monitoring the people’s behavior towards the jailbreaks of iOS 7. The jailbreak community has played a pivotal role in the past to provide important clues to functions users want. However, it has not been supported by Apple as yet. On this Christmas day, the jailbreakers will have a good busy time.
