Live images of a new handset that goes by the model number D6503 have been posted by XDA member iRimas. Besides the images, the user claims that the phone comes with a considerably thin bezel compared to the Xperia Z1 and has actually a much better screen than the Z1 as well.

The phone is running on Android 4.3 layered over with a new UI that is extremely buggy at the moment.
The phone also shares the same 20.7 megapixel sensor as the Xperia Z1 and Z1 Compact. In terms of differences, the bottom of the phone sports three large holes for speaker instead of the mesh grill seen on the Z1. Also, the lanyard has been moved to the left. The phone also sports microUSB port, slots for microSIM and microSD card.
What place will the D6503 take up in Sony’s lineup is unknown at the moment. While it is being claimed that it could be a refresh to the Xperia Z1, reports are also coming in that the phone is the successor to the Xperia ZL. We hope that more light will be shed on the matter at MWC, but then again, even that’s not confirmed.
