HTC is having a bad time, and plans to overcome it by launching new handsets that can stand apart from the crowd. We know that HTC One’s successor is in works, but the company has also something for its mid range line up.

A new phone in the Desire series has leaked from China. The rather colorful device reminds us of the Lumia phones and the iPhone 5c.
The phone is said to pack MediaTek’s true octa core offering which offers some solid performance. It will allegedly come with 1.5GB RAM, 8 megapixel camera, 5 inch 720p display. One area where the past handsets have been hobbled is the software, coming with either Android 4.0 or 4.1 even in 2013. However, this new Desire will supposedly come running with Android 4.3 skinned with Sense 5.5. It will be made available in yellow, orange, red and blue.
Another problem with HTC’s mid range line up has been the ridiculous pricing. But again, the phone is said to be priced close to Euro 200, which seems reasonable for such a device. So far, there’s no word on the launch date, but HTC might reveal the handset at MWC next month.
