Password, Dot Pattern, or Calculator, you can choose the password method
that suits you best. There is a neat little Decoy tile icon, which you
reverse your passcode to enter, to keep prying eyes away from your Pic
Lock vault, while the photo albums themselves can be customised with a
range of colours to match your style. Then there is the Panic mode,
which instantly switches to another app using flick, shake, or facedown
or even more privacy.

Lock Free is a Windows Phone app that has been added to the Nokia
Collection as a non-exclusive app. It has a clean and easy to use
interface. Before you can start to use Photo Lock Free you’ll need to
register. This is so you can reclaim your password should you forget it,
as no photos are lifted from the phone – everything is stored on the
Nokia Lumia itself. As with other apps here, Photos and videos take in
the app stay in the app.

The password is based around a simply 6-digit numeric password, giving
you quick and easy access while keeping prying eyes out. We like that
there is a Decoy mode adding another layer of security to your files.

Secure
your private photos with Photo Box. It’s the most expensive solution
here but it does come with a host of features. You can import and export
images from the Photo Hub, as well as edit your images with the Crop
and Rotate tools, as well as make the most of layers within
images.Export everything to your PC with Easy Sync.
Private
Lite claims to have had over three million downloads, making it one of
the more popular photo lock apps for Windows Phone. There are neat
Instant Lock and Fake Mode options and the built-in photo editor allows
you to make more of the images you’ve got stored in the vault. This
latest version comes with SkyDrive support and even incorporates an
image downloader.
Private
Snaps is a free app that can be used to protect your photos and videos
with a numeric and alphanumeric password. It can also be used as an
excellent camera app with timer and burst mode and video recording
functions. If privacy isn’t an issue, you can post photo to Facebook and
upload to SkyDrive from within the app.
