Now that we’ve moved past GDR3, it is time to concentrate on the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update for the platform. Among several other changes, Microsoft is also expected to rework on some of the UI elements and we’ve already starting getting a glimpse of those through leaks.

The leak comes though a Twitter account by the name of WPLeaks. the account is relatively new, so we advice you take this news with a pinch of salt.

First up, the games hub on WP8.1 will be revamped from the current layout. The new design has card based elements, as well as SmartGlass integration. We hope Microsoft also fixes the Xbox Live certification process along with that, since most of the major titles come sans that certification due to the hassle involved.

Moving on, the HERE maps have also received a change. The search bar has been moved to the top, with a Here logo to the left, while the bottom bar has altogether disappeared.
Lastly, the account has also posted a video of what Cortana would look like. The audio in the video isn’t very clear, but shows a small blue round shaped icon on the top right corner of the screen, with mouth animations and text bubbles popping up as it speaks. You can check the video here.
Again you should take this news with a grain of salt, since it can be easily faked for some cheap publicity.
