The Xbox One hasn't been selling as well as the PlayStation 4
 on a global level, and that's partly due to pricing -- in the UK, 
Microsoft's system costs a lofty £429 ($713) versus Sony's £349 ($580).  <br />
Seems like the Xbox One isn’t really doing all that well against the 
Sony PlayStation 4. The company has discount the Xbox One by a good 100 
pounds in the UK and it is now retailing for £400, a good £30 price 
discount. It’s still more than the £349 that the PS4 commands, but then 
it comes with Kinect bundled along. The new price will start reflecting 
starting February 28th.<br />

What’s more, the company is also shipping a special edition of the 
console bundled with a download code for Titanfall and a month of Xbox 
Live Gold subscription for the same price as the regular console. The 
limited edition Xbox One will ship in the country from March 14th, while
 the American counterparts should see it available in stores from March 
11th for $499.<br />

already the console has achieved more than what Sony was expecting of

As of February 8th, Sony has shipped 5.3 million PS4 units around 
the world. The company was aiming for 5 million units before the end of 
this fiscal and it managed to achieve that target with three weeks still
 in hand.<br />

It appears as if Sony has managed to widen the gap between its next 
gen console and its closest competitor from Microsoft. Reports about PS4
 being the best selling console in the US in the month of January have 
been also making rounds. Although the Xbox One has got titles like 
Titanfall in its arsenal, we’re assuming the early bad PR about weaker 
hardware, as well as certain games running on a higher native resolution
 on the PS4 compared to One(1080p vs. 720p), have given an edge to the 
PS4. With the launch in Japan this month, we’re expecting the rift to 
widen even further.<br />

Flappy Bird, which became an overnight success on iOS and Android 
(and the most demanded app on Windows Phone), will soon be pulled down 
from both the platforms. The news was broken by the app developer Dong 
Nguyen on Twitter.<br />

The Tweet simply says that he “cannot take this anymore”. Now, that’s
 a statement that is open to speculation, as to what it really means. It
 was recently revealed that the game is clocking in more than $50,000 a 
day from in-app ad revenues. So chances are the developer feels that so 
much money is ruining his life. Or maybe, he could not take the 
criticism surrounding the game anymore, about it borrowing elements from
 Super Mario Bros more than it should have. Or maybe, its a cryptic 
message altogether and has some totally different meaning.<br />

Flappy Bird has become the talk of the town all over the globe. The 
developer promised a Windows Phone version of the game, but we don’t 
think that’ll happen if the game goes down on the other two platforms. 
Users who’ve already installed it should be fine though, as long as they
 don’t uninstall it or change their device.<br />

<strong>My First Impressions:</strong><br />

I played the game for couple of minutes and its completely different 
from what you had played till now. When I say different, I am pointing 
towards the new mood, music, party like environment, Rayman swimming and
 jumping right out of it.<br />

The game includes a map where you can check out all 75 levels by 
pinch and zoom but you cannot play it yet. One thing you would notice 
while moving between levels are virtual sublevels which connect to main 
level when you score better.<br />

Its Partying Raman and if you love the congo-bongo music, play it on 
else you might just lower down the music a bit to keep some heads 
nodding in public place.<br />

Good news is that not only you get Xbox Live but the game runs on low
 end devices running on 512MB RAM. The game is priced at $1.99 or Rs 135

With speculations about a PC version (and probably next gen ports 
too, if we’re allowed to play the optimistic card here), GTA V still has

teams participated and since then the game has been completely reworked 
and is now available on Windows Phone Store as a free download.<br />

The game’s hero, Jack is an intelligent, gifted but young and hasty 
scientist. He dreams of becoming the greatest scientist in the history.

that will change his life. He drops the virus which goes in to the

That’s the premise of the game and to take part all you need do is 
join the matching coloured viruses together – link two and they’ll 
cancel each other out, connect three or more and they’ll mutate into an

In turn, the explosive viruses are used to used blow open the plug 
hole and safely suck all the virus action away. Do this and its the end 
of the level. In true Angry Birds style, you’ll need to progress through
 various gaming levels and stages, each one getting progressively 
harder. With more than 40 levels across five different locations there 
is plenty to play for.<br />

We love the cartoon look of Jack’s Mistake, the graphics are bright 
and colourful and there is a whole sense of Nickelodeon about the game –
 think Dexter’s Lab and Powerpuff Girls and you won’t be too far away in
 terms of look and feel with this game.<br />

We’ve been testing it out on our Nokia Lumia 1520 for some high-end 
action, as well as the Nokia Lumia 520 to check that it works on 
entry-level and budget Windows Phone devices.<br />

The leak comes though a Twitter account by the name of WPLeaks. the 
account is relatively new, so we advice you take this news with a pinch

First up, the games hub on WP8.1 will be revamped from the current 
layout. The new design has card based elements, as well as SmartGlass 
integration. We hope Microsoft also fixes the Xbox Live certification 
process along with that, since most of the major titles come sans that

Moving on, the HERE maps have also received a change. The search bar 
has been moved to the top, with a Here logo to the left, while the

 that status has been achieved, the price goes through the roof and the 
laws of supply and demand become  more prominent.<br />

Video gaming has been around for many years now and the field has 
grown from a small minority into a multi billion pound a year industry. 
 The guys over at the Internet Archive, in addition to cataloguing the Internet, have launched a new project called Console Living Room that
 will let gamers play classic console video games online directly in a 
web browser and the best part is that the games are available to play 
legally, as their respective intellectual property protections have 
expired. So just because you can no longer get your hands upon an Atari 
games system, doesn’t mean you can’t play it’s games!<br />

However, gamers shouldn’t expect PlayStation and Xbox
 titles to appear in the list of available games just yet, at least not 
for the time being, as the list of games only includes titles for the Atari 2600, the Atari 7800 ProSystem, the Astrocade system, the ColecoVision, and the Magnavox Odyssey system.<br />

For people to play the games, users will just have to click on the 
screenshot/link of a chosen game, which will then run in the browser 
window by making use of the JSMESS
 emulator system, the only thing missing from them (and this is a bad 
news for hardcore gamers) is sound support, but this feature will be 
added in the future.<br />

Currently, in the classic video games collection, there are nearly 
1000 titles that were once launched for the systems above and can now be
 played free of charge in a browser on any modern system capable of 
accessing them.  Enjoy.<br />

Some of the top titles that have been selected for PS3, which will be added to the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection are:<em> Bioshock Infinite, DmC: Devil May Cry and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.</em><br />

As for the PlayStation 4 owners, they will receive <em>Don’t Starve</em> for free and if you have a PS Vita, then you will be able to download <em>Worms: Battle Island</em> and the trivia game <em>Smart As</em>.<br />

In order to download and play these games, you will have to have an 
active PlayStation Plus membership. If your renewal lapses then they 
will become unplayable.<br />

Although a PlayStation Plus subscription costs $49.99 a year, games 
will be added regularly to the rotating Instant Game Collection 
throughout this next year. And don’t forget that you can often find the 
12-month voucher at a discount price, so it’s definitely worth 
considering.<br />

Edward Snowden, who has become notorious for leaking information on the antics of the NSA, has leaked documents dating back to 2008, which show that both American and British intelligence agencies have “infiltrated” online games such as World of Warcraft.<br />

According to these documents, spies from both nation’s agencies 
created characters in order to snoop on gamers in a bid to discover if 
terrorists were blending in with legitimate players and using the 
anonymity in order to plan attacks or communicate with fellow terrorists
 and even arrange for payment transfers.<br />
These spies have been reported to have been active in the game Second
 Life, with a “deconfliction” group being set up in order to prevent the
 agents from spying on each other.<br />

The agencies also used open-source packet-sniffing software along 
with parsing scripts supplied by the Uk’s GCHQ, to analyze the data. 
“These logs are now being forwarded to GCHQ for additional analysis, 
target development, and network knowledge enrichment,” reads the leaked 
document.<br />
It seems that this snooping has reaped results for the agencies as 
the document notes that the GCHQ was able to uncover potential Signals 
Intelligence by  “identifying accounts, characters, and guilds related 
to Islamic extremist groups, nuclear proliferation, and arms dealing.”<br />
As well as that the agency has also “successfully been able to get the discussions between different game players on Xbox Live.”<br />
Although these documents are now five years old, it is not known if the agencies still have access to any of these networks.<br />

In spite of my rather skeptical intro, I 
have to be honest and say that the idea of a kart racing game bolstered 
by the Angry Birds concept is not all that undesirable. If it’s anywhere
 close to the experience that Mario Kart offers, then I am willing to 
give anything a try! There’s also the fact that Rovio has been quite 
good at spinning the free-to-play model and still making money out of 
it.</div>
So far, so good, yes?<br />
Here’s the not-so-good part: gamers find Angry Birds Go! “finding it positively stuffed with in-app purchases.”<br />
New Zealanders are already “enjoying” the game, earlier than the 
official release in other parts of the world. And those gamers have been
 reporting that the in-app purchases are just way too much. For some, 
there is an inherent resistance to in-app purchases, but I think it’s 
safe to say that more and more people are welcoming them. That is, if 
the price is right.<br />
With Angry Birds Go!, however, you can expect to pay as much as 
$99.99 for a fully upgraded kart – which you may very well need at some 
point! Still, there are many other in-app purchases such as gems and 
upgrades which won’t take such a huge chunk out of your credits. You 
will also have to exercise patience when your birds need to re-energize 
(if you don’t want to spend money).<br />
Here’s a little teaser to get you excited in spite of the negative vibe coming from those who have played the game.<br />

This isn’t the first time Ubisoft has released an <em>Assassin’s Creed</em> game on mobile devices, but the company may be far more successful with this installment. Riding on the waves of <em>Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag</em>, the mobile version of <em>Pirates</em> will allow gamers to rule the seas close to the time of the events that transpired in the <em>Black Flag</em> game. If advance praise means anything at all, this is looking to be a fun adventure.<br />

<strong>Get Ready To Set Sail</strong><br />

This mobile game allows players to take on the role of  ship Captain 
Alonzo Batilla. Players will have to purchase and upgrade ships, fight 
naval battles, manage their crew, explore the sea(s), and add new 
pirates to their crews. Did I mention there’d be naval battles? You 
should probably expect several naval skirmishes. After all, what kind of
 a pirate game would it be if the cannonballs weren’t flying in every 
which direction?<br />

After viewing the trailer of the game, this is one mobile game that 
does not look like a mobile game. In fact, it looks like it could 
seriously stand up next to its console big brother and give him a run 
for his gold.<br />

Obviously, one can’t expect Xbox 360 or PS3 quality 
graphics on a phone, but <em>Assassin’s Creed: </em><br />
<em>Pirates</em> appears to 
do what only a few other mobile games have done, and that is to make you
 forget you’re using a smartphone or tablet in the first place. This is 
no doubt due in part to the new 3D engine that was created for <em>Pirates</em>.<br />

Microsoft’s Xbox One released on November 22 with unparalleled 
results. The console sold over 1 million units within the first 24 hours
 alone, making it Microsoft’s best-selling console at the time of its 
release. Even the $499 price tag did not deter those who were determined
 to get their hands on the next generation gaming console. Sony’s 
PlayStation 4 which went on sale 11/15 also passed the 1 million unit 
mark within its first 24 hours.<br />

While many early reviews of the Xbox One are favorable, some 
unfortunate folks are having some major issues with their systems. One 
of the main (it’s actually a fairly small percentage of the total units)
 complaints so far concerns the disc drive. Sometimes it doesn’t open, 
sometimes it eats the discs, and sometimes it makes very loud noises

 Thankfully, Microsoft isn’t leaving those who are having this problem

Sony will disable 
certain PlayStation Network features in Europe and Australia on 
<a href="http://www.circlestech.com/2013/11/playstation-4-to-release-on-november.html" target="_blank">PlayStation 4</a> launch day, the company has announced. <br />

Sony claims this temporary measure is due to the great influx of 
players that's expected in the first few days after PS4 hits the market.
 The European launch date is Friday, November 29.<br />

"We want to make sure that your online experience is positive. To 
help ensure that this happens, we have made the decision to switch off a
 couple of features for European customers on day one. These features 
will then be switched back on a few days later, once the intensity of 
launch day calms down," wrote Sony's Fred Dutton in a <a href="http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/11/28/psn-on-playstation-4-at-launch/" target="_blank">blog post</a>. <br />

The features in question are "What's new," which lets you discover 
what your PS4 friends are doing, and the "Content Information Screen," 
which lets you see friends' activity as well as info about the title 
you're currently looking at. <br />

All the crucial PS4 features will be available on day one, including 
online gaming, trophies, friending, sharing videos and live broadcasting
 of games, Sony says.<br />

Amazon Japan has launched its Instant Video online platform,
 with more than 26,000 imported and local films and TV shows for 
streaming or download. Amazon's decision to enter the online video 
market in Japan is interesting for two reasons. For starters, it is 
entering an already crowded marketplace with several major local 
competitors. It's also another sign that the competition between Amazon 
and its Japanese counterpart Rakuten is heating up.<br />

The launch of Amazon Japan's Instant Video service comes just before 
the debut of the Kindle HDX, which goes on sale in Japan tomorrow. The 
device will come with a 2,000 yen ($20) coupon for Instant Video as a 
promotion. Instant Video's pricing tier begins at 100 yen (about $1) for
 a 24-hour rental. Amazon Japan also started selling e-books at the end 
of last year and now has more than 25 million songs on its music

The debut of Amazon Japan Instant Video pits it against local 
competitors like GyaO Corp, Tsutaya TV and NotTV, as well as Hulu and 
Apple's localized Japanese services. Amazon Japan's new focus on 
streaming video comes after competitor Rakuten took several big steps to
 position its $16 billion Internet services ecosystem as a significant 
worldwide competitor to Amazon and Netflix. Over the past two years, 
Rakuten has acquired e-reader services provider Kobo, European streaming video platform Wuaki.tv and Viki, a global video streaming platform that crowdsources translated subtitles.<br />

Rakuten is probably best known in the U.S. as the lead investor in last year's $100 million Pinterest round,
 but it is also one of the world's largest e-commerce companies with a 
current market cap of about 1.9 trillion yen ($18 billion USD). That 
amount, however, still puts it far behind Amazon's market cap of $177 
billion. With e-commerce's extremely thin margins, Rakuten's decision to
 focus on aggressively expanding its digital content business makes 
sense. Amazon Japan's move into the online video market is another sign 
that, despite its much larger size, the e-commerce behemoth will not 
take its business in Japan for granted.<br />

viewing experience by allowing you to entirely navigate around the 
LOVEFiLM Instant catalogue with supported voice commands and the use of 
hand gestures.  This feature allows users to easily pick and play a 
title without using the game controller.  LOVEFiLM members can also earn
 badges and achievements on their<b> </b>Xbox One console, by fulfilling certain criterion such as adding titles to their WatchList or watching brand new releases.<br />

The half-hour comedy follows a group of four Silicon Valley dudes 
working on a startup social networking app tailored toward "dating." Joe
 Dinicol is twenty-something CEO Trey, the ideas man who persuaded his

start their hookup app. Charlie Saxton is programmer Mitchell, and Jon 
Daly is odd-man-out 35-year-old slacker security chief Hobbes.<br />

Lionsgate, the studio behind <em>The Hunger Games</em>, revealed in a
 conference call Friday that it has been approached to create theme 
parks after the popular franchise and is considering the possibility.<br />

There isn’t a lot of information yet, but the phone conference was between Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer and industry analysts. According to <em>Variety</em>:<br />

Feltheimer said Lionsgate had been approached about 
“Hunger Games” theme parks in two territories and was considering those 
possibilities. He gave no further details.</blockquote>
What should be considered is whether <em>Hunger Games </em> fans would be willing to pay hundreds of dollars to spend a day immersed in its setting. The difference between<em> The Hunger Games</em> and, say, <em>Harry Potter</em>,
 is that there’s no part of the world that most readers actually want to
 see come alive. Between the abject poverty, forced labor and Capitol 
people who joyfully rip 24 families apart every year for entertainment, 
it might be a hard sell.<br />

But since the books and subsequent films are widely popular, may the odds be ever in their favor.<br />
