Nokia Treasure Tag Finally arriving in April

It's been long rumored and speculated, but it’s finally here. Nokia has just announced the next accessory you’ll want for your Bluetooth 4.0 LE enabled Lumia device – Treasure Tag. It’s coming this April to retailers around the globe.

Nokia’s Treasure Tag accessory was first spotted in September last year and then disappeared from news (even rumors) altogether. Well, Nokia has taken wraps of it today finally.

So what does the treasure tag do? If you happen to misplace your valuables (keys, purse and what not) and often forget where you last put them, Nokia Treasure Tag is the thing for you. The device can be attached to any of your valuables. You can then track its location using the related app on the Windows Phone. It will send out a beep on your phone in case it gets disconnected with the phone. It’ll also emit a beep when in the area so that you can know its location. In case you completely loose it, you’ll also be able to track its last location on Here Maps. The best part is that Treasure Tag offers a battery life of six months, so you won’t have to charge it time and again, unlike your smartphone. It can connect to your WP device using either Bluetooth 4.0 LE or NFC.
treasure tag measures just 13 grams and will be made available in black, white, yellow and cyan. It’ll hit the markets in April for a price tag of $29.99.
