We are yet still waiting for the official premiere of the HTC M8 otherwise known as HTC One+, One 2 or simply the next HTC flagship.

Besides the HTC M8, another highly anticipated phone from the company is its junior version. The HTC M8 mini is expected to be announced around the same time as the M8 (Which should happen in March). Now, renowned leaker evleaks has posted the specs of the M8 mini online.

According to the leak, M8 mini will come powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor and would feature a 4.5 inch 720p display. The screen is an improvement over the One mini’s qHD display. The phone would also pack 1GB RAM, 16 gigs of storage space along with microSD slot and a 13MP rear camera (no UltraPixel we’re assuming). The leak also talks about a 5 megapixel camera, which although could be the front cam, but is kind of hard to swallow. The phone will come with Android 4.4.2 KitKat skinned over with Sense 6.0.
Lastly, HTC will be opting for on screen buttons instead of capacitive ones. Although a worthy upgrade to last year’s One mini, we wish HTC had followed the Sony route and had instead given us a beastly smaller version of their flagship. That, because –  1: you can find a lot of mid range small phones in the market already, and 2: not all of us like to have flagship phones that are hard to fit in the pocket.
There’s no saying when the new HTC mini might launch, so we guess we’ll have to wait for a while longer before we can say for sure if those specs are indeed the real thing.
