While Google might have already passed Motorola over to Lenovo, it brought about a change in the way the company was working nonetheless.
We saw the start of that change with the Moto X and now the phone will have a successor soon. The news was already broken by Motorola at MWC, but now, tipster evleaks hints that the phone could be called Moto X + 1 and would hit the markets soon.
Of course, now that Lenovo would be in charge, things might be a little different. First, Moto X has been made available in some countries only recently, seven or so months after the phone was announced. We might see Lenovo improving on that timeline and making the process a little more quick with the successor. The company might also want to bring Moto Maker to other countries. On the hardware front, we doubt Lenovo will have much of a say at this point in time, but we’re expecting a 1080p display, improved processor and maybe, camera too. Also, the Moto X offered some unique features which we’re expecting to trickle down to Moto X + 1. We’ll certainly know more in the coming days.
