With all the new features packed into iOS 7 and the iPhone 5S and 5C, it can be difficult to keep track of all the things the device can do. To remedy this, Apple has launched a set of new pages called Tips and Tricks designed to help users get more out the iPhone features that may be hiding in plain sight.

The pages are only dedicated to only the iPhone models currently available: the iPhone 4S, 5S and 5C.

Some of the tips are obvious functions that have been widely covered in the media and demonstrated in Apple’s promotional videos. For those still learning their way around Siri, the guides explain how to teach Siri to correctly pronounce your name as well as identify the people in your contacts list by relationship (mom, dad, etc.).

The real value of Tips and Tricks comes in the form of the little things we’re still learning about iOS 7

The real value of Tips and Tricks comes in the form of the little things we’re still learning about iOS 7. These are the features that users may have either overlooked or simply haven’t dug into the operating system deep enough to discover.

For example, the guides show users how the device can now make audio-only FaceTime calls, a potentially under-hyped feature of iOS 7 that could save users a good deal of money, depending on their mobile plan. The guides also show users the new swiping motions required to see the time stamps on text messages and access the new Spotlight search field.

And even if some users feel that iOS 7’s interface is sufficiently intuitive, the tips are particularly useful for new features like iTunes Radio, with the guide offering detailed instructions on how to navigate the new menus.

For those unwilling to plow through their users’ manual, this latest addition to the Apple website is the perfect iPhone cheat sheet.
