Snapchat has rolled out a new feature called Stories, allowing you to add a "snap" to a feed for 24 hours before it vanishes.
The update, which is now available on iOS and Android, lets you build and string together a narrative of your day. Stories can be viewed as many times as you'd like before the 24 hours is up and they disappear. Clips are removed piece by piece as they reach the time limit and newer ones are added to the end of the story cycle.
"Your Story always plays forward because it makes sense to share moments in the order you experience them," the company said in an official blog post on its site.
Stories are pushed out to friends on the platform, so they can see the added content as it comes in. Each snap in your Story timeline includes a list of viewers. The move could potentially usher in more opportunities for the brand, including advertising and other marketing efforts.
