While other manufacturers have been busy rolling out Android Jelly Bean updates to their lineups, LG has been rather quiet. However, if a new report on PhoneArena is to be believed, it’s all because of a reason.

That being that the company has decided to skip the Android 4.3 update for most of its handsets and decided to update them directly to Android 4.4 KitKat. Some of these models are still on Android 4.1, so it will be one major upgrade for these models.
The list of handsets that are planned to be updated to Android 4.4 include, LG Optimus F3, LG Optimus F6, LG G Pad 8.3, LG G Pro Lite, LG Optimus F7, LG Optimus L9 II, LG Optimus Vu II, LG Vu III, and the LG G Flex. Then there are also the unannounced LG-D315 and the LG LS740 which would be getting the update. no word on the original Optimus G and the Optimus G Pro. Meanwhile, it will be end of the road for the LG Optimus 4X HD, which has its update days long behind it.
The report is still just a rumor of course and should be taken with a pinch of salt until LG has any thing to say on the matter.
