Nokia Lumia 520 is the cheapest of all Windows Phone 8 handsets out there. Fortunately (and maybe due to its huge popularity), it isn’t the last to receive the critical OS updates.

This time, the phone has been treated with the Nokia Black update, that only recently came to high end devices like the Lumia 920, followed by the Lumia 625.
The update brings the same features onboard, that it does for other WP8 handsets. Nokia Black packs the Update 3 for Windows Phone 8. The list of new features include an orientation lock, new drive mode, ability to close apps from the multi-task menu, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and the new Nokia Camera app.Although, apps like Nokia Beamer and Nokia Refocus, that require 1GB RAM are incompatible.
You can manually check for the update by hitting the check for updates in the Setting>>Phone update menu. The rollout is expected to be gradual, so it might be a couple of days before you get the update on your phone.
