It seems that the troubled Canadian smartphone manufacturer wants to regain its market share through the sale of low-end BB10 smartphones, at least if an alleged render leak of the rumoured BlackBerry Jakarta is to be believed.

BlackBerry’s first next-generation smartphone co-developed with original device manufacturer giant Foxconn has seemingly been pictured for the first time.
While other manufacturers have been busy launching new devices, beleaguered Canadian maker BlackBerry has had a rather silent phase. But it seems like the company is ready to make a comeback under the leadership of the new CEO and instead of touting it self as a premium handset maker (which hasn’t exactly worked towards its cause), the company will be focusing on budget handsets.
The leaked BlackBerry Z3, codenamed “Jakarta” will be the company’s first true entry level BB10 device. The phone will target emerging markets with a price tag of close to $150. Leaked specs put a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 1.5GB RAM and Adreno 305 on the device.
BlackBerry could unveil the device next week at MWC. Perhaps this could turns out to be the lifeboat that BlackBerry needs to badly. We’ve seen the Nokia Lumia 520 turn fortunes around for Windows Phone, perhaps this could for BlackBerry.

Several leaked images of the BlackBerry Z3 follow below.
