When it comes to LG, the talk of the town is the successor to the Optimus G Pro that is going to be unveiled at MWC. However, nobody seems to care about the fact that the original is still stuck on a dated version of Android (4.1) despite being the company’s flagship last year.

Well, finally someone asked LG regarding their plans for the Optimus G Pro and the news is good for the handset owners.
According to a reply to question on Twitter, LG India has said that the company plans to bring the Android 4.4 KitKat update to the phone sometime in Q2 this year.
Image:gsmarenaEarlier, reports about LG skipping the Android 4.3 update on most of its phones in favor of direct Android 4.4 update surfaced. Phones that are planned to be updated to Android 4.4 include, LG Optimus F3, LG Optimus F6, LG G Pad 8.3, LG G Pro Lite, LG Optimus F7, LG Optimus L9 II, LG Optimus Vu II, LG Vu III, and the LG G Flex. Unfortunately there’s still no word on the fate of LG Optimus G, but we’re hoping it gets updated with the other phones as well.
