MindLink Software is a provider of business-critical collaboration and persistent chat solutions.  They have recently announced that its platform is now fully Mac and Linux-compatible, thereby increasing its scope of usability. The announcement of MindLink for Mac and Linux follows the introduction of the company’s native iPhone app back in 2012 and now makes MindLink the only persistent chat tool on the market to support both the Apple desktop and Linux operating systems. The move comes as the use of Apple products, such as the iPhone and iPad, within the business sphere, continues to expand.

MindLink provides a secure and structured way for employees to share information and knowledge in real-time using a ‘free flow’ conversational style. By focusing on team efficiency and business collaboration, it enables organisations to profit from the shared expertise of their staff, regardless of their geographical location, role with the company or the technology they are using.  Director of strategy and marketing at MindLink, Annekathrin Häse says “Leveraging, our clients’ existing Lync investments, our focus has traditionally been on the support of Microsoft users…Yet Mac and Linux are widely adopted within organisations.

Some organisational roles, such as those of the design department or software development, commonly require Apple hardware and software and or Linux systems.  To date users of these systems have not been able to benefit from persistent chat tools, but because business collaboration is only powerful when everyone can be involved and share knowledge, we have invested resources into ensuring that we support the Mac and Linux platforms, offering every team member the possibility to share and access knowledge.”

Software Company EventZero has been trialling MindLink for both their Mac and PC users. David Tucker, the founder and chairman of EventZero explains: “Running both Windows and Apple operating systems is an integral part of our business operations, as is business collaboration via persistent chat. However, until we discovered MindLink Software, the two were mutually exclusive. Now, MindLink’s full availability on Mac makes it easy for our teams, and especially our developers, to share and access their extensive knowledge, regardless of the system they use. The result is better knowledge-sharing and projects that run more smoothly which benefits both our business operations, as well as those of our customers.”

The MindLink Software management team has more than 30 years of combined experience working with many medium to large sized businesses, facilitating better collaboration for both internal and external users. MindLink Software Ltd is a Microsoft Gold Communications Partner and RIM BlackBerry Enterprise Partner. Its software is fully compatible with Microsoft Lync 2010, Microsoft OCS 2007 R2 and Microsoft Lync 2013.
