While HTC is working hard on bringing Android KitKat to the HTC One, One mini and One Max, One X+ users might not be so lucky.

The news was spilled by HTC Denmark, which replied to query on Twitter, saying:
“We can confirm the HTC One X+ will remain on the current software version, Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5.”
Given that HTC has abandoned the One X+, there’s almost no hope for the One X either. What makes it disappointing is the fact that the Galaxy SIII (which was released around the same time as the One X+) is getting the Android 4.3 update and would probably get updated to Android 4.4 as well. Although, if you aren’t scared of a little unrooting, you will be able to find plenty of KitKat ROMS for the device in the near future (that is if it isn’t already present).
