Windows 8 has been in limelight for the wrong reasons more number of times than for the right ones.

But it seems Microsoft is determined to right its wrong, even if it has to go against its previously justified decisions time and again. After bringing back the Start button to Windows 8 in the 8.1 update, reports are now coming in that the company might allow users to directly boot into the desktop mode.

The news comes from the known leaker Wzor who claims to have seen this feature in the test builds of the upcoming update. Other changes include moving the power options (Shut down, Sleep and Restart) to the Start Screen and the option to minimize Metro apps.
Previous leak from the same user about Windows 8.1 Update 1 claimed that the Windows 8.1 Update 1 will allow to pin Metro apps in the taskbar of the desktop mode. This adds credibility to the current leak, since pinning metro apps in the taskbar and minimizing them seems like something that make sense together.
