Smartwatches and other wearables are are supposedly the next big thing after smartphones and tablets and this time, no one wants to be late to the party. HTC is expected to get on the bandwagon as well.
According to Bloomberg, the company will be unveiling not one, but three different wearables at MWC next week. Two of these would be smartwatches, while one would be “an electronic bracelet that plays music”.
One of the smartwatches would be based on Qualcomm Toq, while the other one would be using Google Now. The latter is intriguing as its something unheard of. The smartwatch would probably use Google Now to process voice commands. Although, we’ve heard in the past about Google trying to bring Google Now on wearables in the past.
The report also says that we might not get to see the accessories in great detail next week and it could be sometime before they can land in the hands wrists of consumers. We’ll know more next week.
