Samsung Galaxy S4 is now getting updated to the latest version of Android, viz. KitKat 4.4. The update has hit the Exynos based GT-I9500 version of the phone, but we’re expecting the Snapdragon 600 version to get the update within a week as well.

The 3G Exynos variant has started getting the KitKat update before LTE Snapdragon variant, even though a build already leaked. Samsung promised Android 4.4 update for 14 Galaxy device in the U.S earlier this week. The update has hit Russia and India first, since these are two markets where the Exynos version of the phone is sold.
The update brings the usual changes onboard Android 4.4, including Project Svelte, better lockscreen and some minor UI changes. The rumored TouchWiz UI update is missing, but we’re assuming it’ll debut on the Galaxy S5 and will later follow on other devices.
The update process should be gradual like always and should hit other markets soon. Do let us know  in the comments below if you find some major change post the update.
