By now it’s all but official that the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update will bring the much revered notification center to the platform in the form of Action Center. We’ve seen a few shots of it in the leaks before, but today it got leaked on a video.

The video reveals that users can access the access center on their device by swiping down from the top of the screen. The Action Center has four quick toggle buttons on the top. These can be customized and users can select from Brightness, Camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, Flight Mode, Internet Sharing, Location, Project my Screen and Rotation Lock. Just below these buttons is the link to the settings menu.
Below this, the space is reserved for all kinds of notifications, which currently appear as toast notifications on Windows Phone 8. This section will show all notifications from various apps, including the ones that have been muted.

With Action Center, it is one more feature cut from the wishlist for Windows Phone. It seems like Windows Phone 8.1 will be the most significant update to the OS till date, even bigger than the jump from Windows Phone 7.5 to WP8 (at least in terms of user features).
