At one point we all loved the old fashioned Windows with its keyboard and mouse friendly desktop, while on the other hand the concept of Windows 8 was still awesome and new for the Window fans and users, it was very colourful with the addition of the new option of finger navigation options that came with it which was a very new and bold move by Microsoft.

Microsoft Windows 8.1 (Part-1)

But at the same time with all the new features that came with the Windows 8 there was a lot of wrong in it as well, such as the lack of the most important part of Windows “the Start Button”, on the desktop threw back most of the users who kept on trying to find their preferred programs. And by this new interface in which there was hardly a use of the keyboard or the mouse it became quite confusing for a lot users on how to use it, as it represented a totally new concept compared to the previous Windows 7. It was not that anyone was disappointed by it but just the fact that it became very confusing for the majority of the Window users.

Even though Windows 8 sales were quite high but it was also found out that many game players still preferred to use Windows 7 as only around 18% of those users were using Windows 8. This was noted by Microsoft thus decided to fix whatever was wrong with Windows 8 within it update Windows 8.1 and the good news about it is that the update has been carried out quite well than expected.

Microsoft Windows 8.1 (Part-1)

There are a lot of hoops for updating from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 compared to its competitors such as the Android or Apple as there is no option at all to download the update for Windows 8.1 directly from the internet neither can it be apply by running Windows update. And if you are lucky enough and it does update then you are stuck for a while until the 3.5-GB operating system is being downloaded. The good news in all this is that you can keep on working on your previous Windows operating system until the update is being downloaded, and the time required to download this may differ according to the speed of your internet connection.

But for those who are still up and running Windows 7 they can directly jump to Windows 8.1 for a mere cost of $195, or even a bit cheaper if you can go around finding its DVD, this is something which would be more recommended as it would take half the time rather than download the huge file which could even take up more than a day all depending on the speed of your internet connection.
