Jack’s Mistake for Windows Phone is a puzzle game that asks you to link matching types of viruses to help clear up a lab. It’s a neat little game and winner of the Lumia AppCampus Challenge 2013.

We’ve been testing it out on our Nokia Lumia 520 and Lumia 1520 to see how well it handles.
Jack’s Mistake was the winner of Lumia AppCampus Challenge 2013 held by Nokia and Microsoft Vietnam.

Over 120 teams participated and since then the game has been completely reworked and is now available on Windows Phone Store as a free download.
The game’s hero, Jack is an intelligent, gifted but young and hasty scientist. He dreams of becoming the greatest scientist in the history. One day he’s researching a new virus in the lab, when something happens that will change his life. He drops the virus which goes in to the sewer. Now Jack needs to take action and stop the virus becoming a global threat!

That’s the premise of the game and to take part all you need do is join the matching coloured viruses together – link two and they’ll cancel each other out, connect three or more and they’ll mutate into an explosive virus.

In turn, the explosive viruses are used to used blow open the plug hole and safely suck all the virus action away. Do this and its the end of the level. In true Angry Birds style, you’ll need to progress through various gaming levels and stages, each one getting progressively harder. With more than 40 levels across five different locations there is plenty to play for.

We love the cartoon look of Jack’s Mistake, the graphics are bright and colourful and there is a whole sense of Nickelodeon about the game – think Dexter’s Lab and Powerpuff Girls and you won’t be too far away in terms of look and feel with this game.
We’ve been testing it out on our Nokia Lumia 1520 for some high-end action, as well as the Nokia Lumia 520 to check that it works on entry-level and budget Windows Phone devices.
Jack’s Mistake is a free 40MB download from the Windows Phone Store.
