In the latest update from Nokia (version 2.2.0.1) that will target the Touch system app on Lumia Windows Phones, users will be pleased to know that they have a brand new setting that one is able to play around with – the ability to disable button vibration whenever one touches any of the capacitive buttons.

Nokia been listening to your feedback and to all those users who wanted to turn off the vibration that used to happen every time you pressed the back, start and the search button, it has been introduced with the later update to the system app – “Nokia Touch”. Once you install the update, you will need to follow the steps as below:
  • Settings > Touch
  • Look for the option which says “Windows Phone Keys Vibrate”
  • Toggle it to Off.
  • Right after this, a complete restart is required to get this into action.
Done this you will feel no vibration every time you hit the buttons. One big advantage of this is you might save a bit of battery as these buttons are used every time you navigate between apps or when quitting it.

There is one small drawback to this. Many a times I had noticed that when the vibration fire with phone in my pant, I know either my phone is unlocked which could result in accident of almost any type. Right from email deletions to camera capture to calls. I am sure you don’t want calls to start in case your phone is not password protected on the screen.

Since this is a system app, you cannot search on store and download or force update. The best is to either open the link from below on your phone or hit the UR code scanner built in search of Windows Phone to launch.
